I am amazed by the work of husband and wife team, Robert and Cortney Novogratz of Sixx Design in NYC. They are self-taught designer's who have grown up with a love for decor and design. Together they have bought, transformed, and sold several properties into very creative and beautiful spaces. Not to mention they also have 7 adorable kids. They also have a show on Bravo about their life and work called 9 by Design (totally addicting)... and they have recently released a gorgeous book of spaces they've designed, called Downtown Chic.

My favorite details about a Sixx space is the over-sized contemporary art, modern stair cases, bold graphic wall-paper, open living areas for entertaining, and the fabulous antiques. If you watch the show, you can see just how in depth, fast-paced, and money driven the design industry can be. I can't wait to see what's next for them in the future of their business.
