I loved creating my lamp for Chair Affair this past month, it was part of an silent auction of lamps re-purposed by members of Interior Designers of Idaho. I started with a brass lamp base, and a lamp shade frame. I painted the base black, and added a polystyrene backed Muslin to the frame of which I used silk-screen ink to create the pattern based off the iconic Dazzle Camouflage. It was fun, and pretty inexpensive, though next time I think I will have to start with a white store bought lampshade!

Weekend
I wanted to make sure to thank Kirsten Grove and Vanessa De Vargas for such a lovely last weekend full of so many wonderful memories!! Not to mention all my fellow committee members from Interior Designers of Idaho and all the cool creatives I met at the events surrounding Chair Affair. It was a lot of work putting everything together, but I am very excited for more years to come.

Can't wait to host Vanessa De Vargas this month at Chair Affair in Boise, she will be speaking on Friday April 20th at the Lecture Series. I am so excited to meet her and hear the story on how she became such an inspiring person! Love this Venice Beach home designed by Vanessa. A great combination of color and pattern!!
