Lamp

I loved creating my lamp for Chair Affair this past month, it was part of an silent auction of lamps re-purposed by members of Interior Designers of Idaho.  I started with a brass lamp base, and a lamp shade frame. I painted the base black, and added a polystyrene backed Muslin to the frame of which I used silk-screen ink to create the pattern based off the iconic Dazzle Camouflage. It was fun, and pretty inexpensive, though next time I think I will have to start with a white store bought lampshade!

Project Share

I'm finishing up a few freelance projects, so I thought I would share. The material board above is for my sorority house up at University of Idaho. It is still in the works for funding and all, but I had a great time sourcing products that would be durable, neutral, and create the modern feel I wanted to update the house. Can't wait to see this project happen!

What I do...

To show off some of my own design style I am featuring a past project of mine. These pictures are from a Parade Home I designed in 2006 for the company Evergreen Homes. I used many of my favorite modern details and materials in this project at the time, including the stainless steel clad fireplace, quartz counter tops, resin panel shower, resin counter with glass lit under the stainless apron, built-in shelving, cable stair railing, and the wet bar detail of wood and metal. I staged this home with vintage furniture from Renewal in Boise and with help from my own collection.
