Weekend of Wintry
I took a couple weeks off as I was busy playing co-host for Wintry Market. This years event was well worth the months of planning and finding the perfect group of vendors to participate. I was happy to see that we reached a wider local audience this year, and I am ready for more years of fun!!
If you are an artist / maker who lives in Idaho and interested in sharing your talent and being a vendor for next years event, please contact us at wintrymarket(at)gmail(dot)com.

Recycled Beer Journal
So I have been working on this idea for quite some time now, and I think it turned out great.
It's a recycled beer journal, which is made from a 6 pack carrier with a special logo. You can record information about your beer tastings and include your rating on the 30 sheets inside.
Currently, you can purchase them via my Etsy shop. There is 6 different beers covers available, but there will be more to come! Each journal is handmade with recycled paper, is spiral bound, and costs $8.
It's time for you to start recording your beer adventures!
I should be posting more handmade items very soon!

Wintry Market

So excited to announce the Wintry Market... an Arts & Crafts Market organized by Amy Pence-Brown and I. This idea came about with discussions on how Boise needed a Market around the Holiday season that supported Local Artists and the Indie Craft movement. This event will take place first weekend of November (5th & 6th) in Boise at the Ballet Idaho Auditorium space. I will be sharing event details here and on our Wintry Market blog as the market progresses. See the links below to check in on our progress. This is going to be a fabulous event, we sure hope that you can attend!

The Makers
The Makers Project is series on people who create handmade and artisan-produced products in the Manhattan area, photographed and curated by Jennifer Causey. This project documents the people who make things and make things happen, and contains interviews with their thoughts on the city. Follow the project on Twitter for future updates.
I featured the images above for LENA CORWIN, because the process for hand-printing is so amazing.

Costumes...

So I decided to be an owl for Halloween at the end of September, when I found this awesome tutorial on how to make an kid's costume. Making the costume went so smoothly that I ended up making it for Ryan as well, so we ended up being a pair. The mask I made was similar to the pattern with the costume, but if you wanted to buy a mask you can find a great one here. These costumes turned out so cute and they were really comfortable!!
