Soiree Blog | Our Wedding
So excited that my friend Brandi of Soiree (Wedding and Event Planning) posted images from our wedding of the centerpieces and our cake. Of course I spent months and months collecting and creating new ideas to make the details perfect. Check out the Soiree blog for great event planning ideas and advice.

Wedding Flowers | Roses
This past weekend I created wedding bouquets and boutonnieres for my friends wedding. She wanted to use hot pink roses with a mix of white and black ribbons tied around the stems. I would not have been able to complete them without the help of my wonderful mother and sister. See pictures below for the finished product.

valerieDavenport Photography

Valerie Davenport, is a friend of mine from back in Jr. High. She is currently a on-location lifestyle portrait photographer in Boise Idaho, and is of course very, very talented. I enjoy browsing through her photos taken of family, friends, and clients. She does some amazing things with her camera and lighting. Her blog also gives you up to date information on her work.
Enjoy!

The Modern Boutonniere
Boutonniere's are traditionally made with flowers, ribbon, and greenery. But what if you took a more artistic approach and used exotic flowers, greenery only, or something which isn't a flower at all? You can come up with some amazing ideas. Below are images that inspire me.
Middle: Feathers and Pearls, Pine Cone with Greenery via In Style Weddings, Simple Flower and Buds wrapped in Wire via The Knot
Bottom: Playing Card Flower via Brides Magazine , Beaded Flower via Blue Bouquet, Hydrangea & Orchid with Sea Glass Beads

Soiree Birthday Giveaway

My friend Brandi at Soiree (a wedding and event design company) is giving away a day of coordination to a lucky bride to be. Which is worth up to $800 in value!
Please visit the link below to get all the info you need to submit for the contest.
Soiree Birthday Giveaway
Brandi helped us with the coordination of our wedding day, and I can say that it was fantastic to have someone be the go-to person for all the wedding day tasks.

Heritage Makers | Wedding Album
So this year I decided to create an album for mine and Ryan's parents of our wedding day for Christmas. I got introduced to Heritage Makers through my cousin Peggy and thought it would be good to use for this kind of a project.
It was a fairly easy program to use, and if you pay for the premiere membership you can get lots of extra papers and embellishments to make each page look great.
I still like making the pages the old fashioned way as well, but this turned out to be a pretty helpful service if you want something that turns out looking almost professional.

Tammy and Mike | Flower Arrangements

Our friends Mike and Tammy (Indian Creek Winery) asked me to help them by doing their bouquets and boutonnières for their wedding.
It was a fun process, but since it was a first for me I did a lot of research on flowers and flower arranging. Their colors for the wedding were hot pink and navy blue, so I chose to use all hot pink flowers for the arrangements.
I had a few helpers; my sister, mom, and good friend. Which made it a fun adventure in trying something new.
I think it was fun to combine flowers that are not normally used together to show different textures. We added some sage brush that was dyed pink for the boutonnières and the bridal bouquets.
There is a really great magazine called "wedding flowers" that is British, which has a lot of ideas for beautiful modern arrangements.

Bachelorette Weekend

I was asked by our friend Melissa to create some simple mailing labels for her wedding invites. And later it turned out to be her bacherlorette party invitations as well. She had a theme of red, brown, and orange, so I used those colors to create something simple and fun.
