Modern Kitchen
Perfect kitchen layout in this remodel by Debra Cronin Design. A modern look was accomplished by incorporating the appliances into a full height storage wall, while the other areas remain open for a more functional space. Not to mention the beautiful natural stone, cabinets, overall color scheme that was used.

Modern Kitchen
I love this Kitchen... such great details, and a perfect layout for a galley style. Great mix of wood, and I like the way the wood counter extends to an apron at the face with those awesome metal legs.
I am currently getting back into some residential design. So this past week I judged and went to a local home show, so now I am hooked on looking for more inspiration!

What Home Means to Me
Today my post is related to Pin it Forward, this event is hosted by sfgirlbybay. And its a great way be exposed to many different bloggers out there. The object this time was to use Pinterest a service which provides you an outlet to share, tag, like, and comment on photos that inspire you in different ways. There are many participants, so each day one blogger from 10 groups will write about a similar theme of Home. Today there is postings by passionista!, flora douville, apple blue, the other tiffany, victoria klein, the gift was ours to borrow, quilts a bit, window ledge arts, and poppytalk. I am so excited to be a part of this group of talented and inspiring people!!
A Place to relax and be creative and dream about the future.
A Place to entertain family and friends and to create new ways of living.
Thanks to Victoria of sfgirlbybay, and Pinterest for this great idea. And also to the reading nest for passing this along. Feel free to check out my pinboard here for more inspiration and the locations of each photo. Please check out happy serendipity who will post on Monday.

Henry Road
I was glad to finally discover this shop...Henry Road. They have a great collection of housewares, paper goods, etc. The textiles were designed by Paula Smail, who has an amazing eye for pattern. She has also recently designed a tile line for Modwalls.

kitchen love...

I love this kitchen via dominic-french.com... such beautiful lines and soothing colors...and lots of sunlight. I absolutely adore European style cabinets! The glass back splash is a perfect combo with the honey colored wood.

Tile Backsplashes
I love finding new ways to use tile in back splashes. These examples show how you can create patterns with different tiles, in texture and color, and by using shapes to create an interesting new look.

Way Cool Products | Modwalls
Looking for your perfect blend of color in the tile on your backplash or wall? Modwalls is a great company with a custom blend service as well as many other products to fit a wide range of projects. I would love to tile my kitchen with the brightly colored penny rounds or to use some recycled glass in my bathroom. Their products range in price, but are very comparable to other manufacturers.

Turquoise
“It is believed to be a protective talisman, a color of deep compassion and healing, and a color of faith and truth, inspired by water and sky. Through years of color word-association studies, we also find that Turquoise represents an escape to many – taking them to a tropical paradise that is pleasant and inviting, even if only a fantasy.”

The color of the year for 2010 according to Pantone (leaders in color forcasting) is turquoise! Below are some fantastic images using the color as an accent or in a bold but beautiful way.
