Grandma...

I just had to post this beautiful picture of my Grandma today, I am working on invitations for her 90th birthday party that will be in a few weeks and I just had to use this photo. I love her so much because she is so amazing and sweet, I don't know what I would do without her!

Don't you love old photos! I love how they capture those simple but important moments in time.

Halloween & Birthday Party

So this past weekend we threw a Halloween / Pirate themed party for my Husband's 30th birthday, and it was a lot of fun! My mom, sister, and I spent a lot of time putting together all the details, below are some of our ideas I wanted to share.

This was Ryan's party banner, created with pre-cut pennant boards and patterned paper.

Ryan's Birthday Cake which was exactly like his invitation designed by Tammy.

Special album my mom made for Ryan and Flower vase which is a paint can wrapped with patterned paper

Jack-o-lantern and a fun centerpiece which is just a white planter with glued on eyes.

Prizes for Costume Contest included a notebook case and Coffee mug with a spider from ACJInspirations.

These were skull shaped candy holders, which are the Basic Grey, Eerie Do Me A Favor Party Boxes

In the Mountains

This past weekend we went to Donnelly Idaho to work on family ranch and cabin. There was lots of work to do including painting the gate to the barn, building a fence, and putting up walls in the cabin. Our dog Gertie had fun being a ranch-dog for the day, by sitting in the yard and watching us work.

Weekend Fun

We spent this last weekend at some local events and spending time with family. I wanted to share some pictures to show what a great time we had.

Basque Museum Wine Festival
This is an annual event we usually attend, in the Basque Block. Its was great to try wine from local wineries and distributors who have Basque and other wines. There is also great food, such as solomo sandwiches from Bar Gernika, Chorizos, and also food from Bardenay. We had a great time trying different wines and visiting with our friends, from Indian Creek Winery. After the festival we headed to our favorite hangout, The Front Door.

Basque Dancers, performing during the festival.

Mike from Indian Creek Winery showing off their delicious wine.

Beers from the Front Door.

Saturday with Jaiden
We picked up our Neice on Saturday and had a full day of fun. We went to the Boise Zoo where we saw many different animals. Then it was to McDonalds (of course) for lunch, Camels Back Park, and finally Goody's for some Ice Cream. We did a lot of fun activities that day, but I think she liked going down all the slides the best.

Sunday at the Winery
We attended the Indian Creek Winery, Man’s Best Friend Malbec Release Party. We brought our dog Gertie, and our family. There were several dogs at the winery and their owners, which made it a fun event. Their grounds are a perfect setting to buy some wine and have a picnic on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Father's Day Fun

Picked some fresh flowers in the morning for our family to enjoy, we have some great pink/salmon colored roses.

The new addition to my sisters family... Marley... a Labrador-English Bulldog Mix.

Ryan and his BBQ, used recipes from one of his favorite grilling books.

My mother-in-law bought these for me (as early birthday gifts) at a neighborhood estate sale, going on that day. The two patterns shown are Heirloom and Peony from the Georges Briard Collection.

Also picked up some vintage silver candlesticks, since its an item we don't yet own.

Fall Fun | Pictures

I know I am a little bit late but I wanted to post some pictures I took this fall of my niece Jaiden and her mom. We had a fun day of leaf throwing, lunch in Hyde Park, and playing at the park.

Its become a family tradition since it makes an excellent gift for my sister to send out to friends and family for christmas.

Some of these pictures were shot with my digital Canon, and then the some were with my Nikon SLR. I can't wait to go out this year and practice some more.

Jaiden's Birthday

Jaiden's (my niece) third Birthday was this last August and we planned a big bash.

We decided to go with a "queen" theme, and we had fun making wands and crowns for all the girls.

And thank you magnets for the guests.

::: Updated 01.04.09 :::

I decided to add the patterns for the crowns. To make: save image to folder and print (full scale) on the back side of a printed paper (cardstock, etc) and punch holes on either side to add ribbon to tie.
